Law & Development

The term “Law & Development” (L&D) refers to the scientific examination of legal issues in development policy. Both Law and Economics scholars have long been concerned with the question of the significance of public law and private law in the context of development processes; the contribution of international law and transnational law to the shaping of North-South relations is also examined under this heading. The anthology “Entwicklung und Recht” (“Development and Law”, edited by Philipp Dann, Stefan Kadelbach and Markus Kaltenborn) provides an overview of the various topics discussed in this context. For more information see Nomos Publishing.
